I'm pretty sure his suit has got some kind of Kevlar. That's just standard. Then there's the vehicle. It's some kind of military thing.

I'm looking at sources for bulletproof vests and stuff but it's all pretty expensive. It makes me wonder if Batman isn't funded by the government? Maybe he's part of some elite secret thing they're trying out here in Gotham?
